FAQ about our implantology Courses Hands-On Implant Training

Below you will find the most frequently asked questions about our implantology courses:

Implantology is a specialized area of dentistry focused on dental implants — artificial structures that are placed into the jawbone to support replacement teeth. This field has become increasingly important as dental implants are considered the most effective and sustainable solution for tooth loss. Unlike traditional dentures, implants provide a permanent solution that can mimic the look and function of natural teeth, significantly enhancing the patient’s quality of life.

The significance of implantology lies in its ability to restore full functionality and aesthetics to patients, improving not just their dental health but also their overall confidence and wellbeing. It requires a detailed understanding of dental surgery, patient care, and biomechanics to successfully integrate artificial implants with natural bone, making it a critical skill set for any advanced dental practice.

The courses are held in Havana, Cuba and Lima, Perú.

Preparing for an implant training course involves several steps to ensure you are fully equipped to benefit from the intensive learning experience. Firstly, it is advisable to review the course prerequisites, which often include a degree in dentistry and a valid dental license. Aspiring participants should familiarize themselves with basic dental implantology concepts through recommended textbooks and recent journals on implant dentistry. Additionally, engaging in online forums and discussion groups can provide practical insights and tips from experienced practitioners.

Practical preparations should include organizing your schedule to accommodate the course demands, such as arranging patient appointments around your training. For the hands-on training, consider refreshing your knowledge on dental anatomy and surgical techniques pertinent to implant placement to maximize your hands-on learning experience.

The requirements for enrolling in dental implantology courses typically include a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited institution. Participants are expected to hold a current dental license, which demonstrates legal eligibility to practice dentistry in their respective state.

Experience in general dentistry is highly recommended, as it provides a solid foundation for understanding the more complex procedures involved in implantology. Some courses may require participants to have a minimum number of years in practice or prior experience with basic surgical procedures. Additionally, a strong grasp of oral anatomy, periodontology, and prosthetics will be beneficial, as these areas are closely related to implantology practices.

In the implantology courses we offer, you will be able to improve and climb as a professional in dentistry and dental surgery. Here are some of the things you can learn in each of the courses we offer:
